When you support ASEB you are supporting more than individuals with dementia. You are supporting their entire families. ASEB has a policy of not refusing service to individuals due to an inability to pay. That means that we need your help to continue to provide our families the care they need!
There are lots of different ways you can support ASEB's services and ASEB's families.
Donations and Gifts to Honor
Unrestricted donations make it possible for us to use your gift where the need is greatest. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal donations by using the easy online system at:
Donations may be made in memory of someone special, or to honor an individual or an occasion (a wedding anniversary for example). At the donor’s request, an acknowlegement in the form of a beautiful memorial gift card (illustrated with artwork from ASEB Adult Day Health Care participants) will be sent to the family of the honoree.
Workplace Giving
Many take part in workplace giving campaigns with monthly gifts deducted from their paychecks. For United Way and other corporate campaigns, ASEB’s code number is 2234. The Combined Federal Campaign number is 9006. Or, you may write in “Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay” and our phone number (510) 644-8292.
Matching Funds
Your gift can work twice as hard. Find out if your employer has a policy of matching employee’s charitable contributions.
Stock Transfers
Maximize the advantages of giving. Avoid paying capital gains tax while still receiving a tax deduction if you give stock that has appreciated in value.
Planned Giving
Include a gift to ASEB in your will, either with a percent of your estate, a cash gift, or a gift of life insurance. Establishing a trust or donating a life insurance policy now, has immediate tax advantages. ASEB’s Federal ID number is 94-3081330.
Car Donations
Donate your car or truck. Please call us at (510) 644-8292, or toll-free to Donate For Charity at (866) 392-4483 to make an appointment to have your vehicle picked up (be sure to mention Alzheimers Services of the East Bay!). Vehicle donations are fully tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
In-kind Donations
Gifts of services, products and food are also welcome (but should be limited to idems that we might normally use at our day programs).
