2014 Event Spotlights ASEB’s Future
ASEB held its annual fundraiser Art from the Heart on May 3, 2014 at the Claremont Country Club. Last year, ASEB celebrated by looking back at 25 years of “The Magic of ASEB.” This year, the focus was squarely on the future.
103.7 FM Radio and KOFY TV host Celeste Perry served as the keynote speaker, and she delivered a moving account of how dementia has affected her life. Perry was chosen after ASEB embarked on an ambitious radio campaign designed to heighten awareness of our services and rebrand ASEB as a leader in memory care.
Representatives from The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose were present to highlight the progress on ASEB’s new site in Fremont. ASEB Fremont will bring the first dementia-specific memory care center to the Fremont area. This project–in partnership with The Dominican Sisters–is part of their “Bold Awakening” strategic plan to bring the larger community into their campus, with ASEB representing the cornerstone of this vision.

Construction is underway, and a special “fund a need” ask was auctioned to support the renovation of the garden at ASEB Fremont. The garden will be an integral part of this ASEB campus–large enough to accommodate all of our participants! If you would like to contribute to the ASEB Fremont Garden Renovation, please visit our GoFundMe page for more details.
