This week’s guests will be ASEB’s team of international interns. Tiara Chen (Singapore), Nkatya Kabwe (Zambia), Burcu Kilinc (Turkey), and Frederik Verbogen (Belgium) have all fulfilled a six-month practical training program through the Collabriv organization, which brings university students and early-career professionals from all nations to the U.S. to prepare them to be leaders in global collaboration.
ASEB’s Executive Director, Micheal Pope, has been mentoring the four interns in management, partnership development, public relations, and more. The interns, who come from three different continents and four different countries, have been working with ASEB’s administrative staff to develop marketing, outreach, social media, and training initiatives. Part of ASEB’s vision for the future is to expand its mission beyond the region and into the international sphere. ASEB’s partnership with Collabriv is an important step in that direction.
ASEB’s interns have also enrolled in a leadership training program at St. Mary’s College. They have immersed themselves in the local Bay Area culture through living with home-stay families, participating in field trips, and working at The Hub, a global network of co-working and incubator spaces in San Francisco and Berkeley.
