A Note from Executive Director Micheal Pope about hosting ASEB international interns:
Dear Friends,
I am writing on behalf of our friend Dwight Wilson. Dwight is an entrepreneur, former Peace Corps volunteer and the CEO of Collabriv, a San Francisco company that teaches global collaboration skills to young professionals worldwide through a unique six-month internship and training program.
Collabriv is seeking families in Berkeley, Albany, Oakland, and El Cerrito to host their first 10 interns, ages 21-26.
ASEB is fortunate enough to be one of the first three organizations to host a team of Collabriv interns. We’ll have four people on our team from Belgium, Singapore, Turkey, and Zambia. We would love to have people in the ASEB network take advantage of this marvelous opportunity.
Families can host for two months up to the full six months of the program, which runs from February 25 to August 23, 2013.
Host families are compensated $500/month.
Details are below and at http://collabriv.com/.
Feel free to contact Dwight Wilson at dwight@collabriv.com or 415-994-8281.
I hope you will consider it!
Micheal
Young professionals from Austria, Belgium, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, India, Singapore, Turkey, and Zambia.
Men and women, ages 21-26, coming to the Bay Area to intern with nonprofits, study leadership at Saint Mary’s College, get professional mentoring, and gain the critical skill of the 21st century: global collaboration.
Hosting options: from 2 to 6 months, between February 25 and August 23, 2013.
We seek families in Berkeley, Albany, Oakland, and El Cerrito who live within a 45-minute commute of downtown Berkeley (by bus, BART, bike, or foot).
Interns pay $500/month to cover food and incidentals.
A great opportunity to:
•Show the best face of the US to a young leader;
•Start your children (and/or grandchildren) on the path of global citizenship;
•Add a new member to your family (whom you might just visit someday);
•Help Collabriv develop a successful model for teaching global collaboration and then take that model worldwide.
