Lunch is Served!
Thanks to your generosity, ASEB was able to purchase this new buffet cart for its Berkeley site!
Social Worker Geri Degen says the new cart creates a more formal and enjoyable lunch experience for the participants. “It’s more calm and pleasant at lunchtime. The food looks and smells better. It also tastes better, due to the fact that it is kept hotter.”
Dietary aide Martha Gonzales agrees, adding, “It makes my job easier because the participants can see that they are about to be served, and it is more peaceful.” Indeed, when our photographer wanted to capture an image of the new buffet cart, he noticed a near-reverential hush fall upon the room as the new star of lunchtime rolled in with its entourage in tow.
